Coronavirus – Village of Antioch Press Release

Today, the State of Illinois Executive Department, issued an Executive order, signed by Govenor Pritzker In Response TO COVID-19.  Beginning March 16, 2020 at 9:00 p.m. through March 30, 2020, all businesses in the State of Illinois that offer food or beverages for on premises consumption-including restaurants, bars, grocery stores and food halls- must suspend on premises consumption.  Such businesses are permitted and encouraged to serve food and beverages so that they can be consumed off-premises though in-house delivery, third party delivery, drive through and curbside pickup.  Additionally, beginning March 18, 2020, all public and private gatherings of 50 people or more are prohibited. I remind all to follow the established guidelines for social distancing and practicing good hygiene, especially regular handwashing. 

Please remember that the majority of local restaurants will have Drive – through, curbside or counter pickup, available as well as those that use third party delivery services such as doordash, ubereats, and grubhub.
