FROM THE OFFICE OF THE MAYOR
Mayor Lawrence Hanson
Today, the State of Illinois Executive Department, issued an Executive order, signed by Govenor Pritzker In Response TO COVID-19. Beginning March 16, 2020 at 9:00 p.m. through March 30, 2020, all businesses in the State of Illinois that offer food or beverages for on premises consumption-including restaurants, bars, grocery stores and food halls- must suspend on premises consumption. Such businesses are permitted and encouraged to serve food and beverages so that they can be consumed off-premises though in-house delivery, third party delivery, drive through and curbside pickup. Additionally, beginning March 18, 2020, all public and private gatherings of 50 people or more are prohibited. Please see the link below to read the entire order from Govenor Pritzker.
I remind all to follow the established guidelines for social distancing and practicing good hygiene, especially regular handwashing.
Please remember that the majority of local restaurants will have Drive – through, curbside or counter pickup, available as well as those that use third party delivery services such as doordash, ubereats, and grubhub.
As a community and with your cooperation we will get through these trying times. Be safe Antioch.
