Due to the rapid increase of COVID-19 cases in Lake county, the State of Illinois, and nationwide, The Village of Antioch is taking preventative measures and following guidelines set forth by the State of Illinois and the Illinois Department of Public Health. In an effort to reduce the risk of exposure and limit the spread of COVID-19, effective Friday, November 20, Village offices will be closed to the public. Essential services will continue to be offered, and staff will be available to assist the community via phone and online communications, however, the public will be not be able to access Village Hall or other facilities. Below are a list of functions still available, and resources on how to utilize these services:
Utility Billing:
Payments may be made online through our website at https://www.antioch.il.gov/departments/water-sewer-services/ , by mail to 874 Main Street, Antioch, IL 60002, or payments may be dropped off in our overnight drop box located at Village Hall next to the Main Entrance.
During our closure, the Village will be suspending all shut-offs due to non-payment and any newly acquired late fees will be waived. If you have any questions, please feel free to call at (847)395-1000 ext. 1317, or email at rbirmingham@antioch.il.gov.
Building Permits:
For information regarding building permits, please visit our website at https://www.antioch.il.gov/building-code-enforcement/ . We are still issuing permits at this time. To submit a Building Permit application, please email them to nslazes@antioch.il.gov. Call (847) 395-1000 ext. 1302 with any questions.
Police Department:
The public areas of the department will be closed. Records, administrative and command staff will be available by phone during normal hours. Visitor access to the non-public areas of the building will be restricted to essential police business. Public fingerprinting is suspended. Officers will be taking phone reports rather than in-person when appropriate. All in-progress or emergency calls will still have officer response, as normal.
Public Works Department:
To report a water or sewer issue, please call at (847) 395-1000 ext. 1425 or visit our website at https://www.antioch.il.gov/citizen-action-line/ to fill out a request for service. If it is an emergency, please call Cencom at (847)270-9111.
Snow and ice removal operations will continue when necessary. Water & Wastewater operations will continue normally.
Parks Department:
There are currently no facility rentals or programming. If you have general questions, please feel free to contact the Parks Office at (847)395-2160 or parks@antioch.il.gov.
