Election Petition Filing Update
The April 6, 2021 Consolidated Election will include the following Village of Antioch offices:
Mayor – 4-year term of office
Village Trustee – 3 Trustees, each for a 4-year term of office
As of 5:00 pm on December 21, 2020, the filing period has closed. Any petitions received at this point will be rejected as untimely.
On December 29, 2020 at 9:00 AM, a lottery will be held to determine ballot placement for candidates who simultaneously filed petitions for the same office on Monday, December 14, 2020 at 8am, and those who filed between the hours of 4-5pm on December 21, 2020. Copies of filed petition packets and filing receipts will be made available by appointment only. If you wish to obtain copies of petitions, please call Village Clerk Lori Romine at 847-395-1000 x 1304 or email lromine@antioch.il.gov.
The Village of Antioch will be able to accept objections to nominating petitions from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm 5 business days after the last day to file. Since Village offices will be able to accept petitions until 3pm on Christmas Eve, this will be included in the 5-day deadline, making the last day to file objections Tuesday, December 29, 2020. Objections may be filed in the Village office during the hours listed above by an appointment made with Village Clerk Lori Romine at lromine@antioch.il.gov, or 847-395-1000 or by mail to: Village of Antioch, Office of the Village Clerk, 874 Main Street, Antioch, IL 60002.
