The Village of Antioch is applying for a $500,000 Brownfield Cleanup Grant from the United States Environmental Protection Agency for activities associated with the remediation of the former Pittman Property located at Main Street and Depot Street, Antioch, Lake County, Illinois to bring the Site to an open development ready status.
As part of the application process, the Village of Antioch is required to obtain public input to their proposal, which is due December 1, 2021. Starting November 10, 2021, a summary proposal and the proposed Analysis of Brownfield Cleanup and Alternatives will be available for public review on the Village’s website and at the Village Clerk’s Office at 874 Main Street, Antioch, IL. 60002.
The Village of Antioch will also discuss the draft proposal and consider response comments at the regularly scheduled Village Board of Trustees meeting on November 10, 2021 at 874 Main Street, Antioch, IL. 60002. The Village will consider and respond to and/or incorporate all substantial written comments provided prior to the grant application deadline of December 1, 2021.
