Happy Friday, Antioch!
What a night last night at the bandshell! Last night was the final It’s Thursday concert of the season, and we wrapped up the season in a big way. Thank you to everyone that came out to support our local business community with its fundraising efforts for Huntley. It was so heartwarming and wonderful to see our awesome town come together like we did last night. It was especially wonderful to see members of our local business community work to provide food, beer, raffles, and a lot of fun for a great cause! This event could not have happened without the combined effort of our local business community. Thank you, Village of Antioch Business Development Manager, Mark Sural for coordinating all the efforts in a short amount of time. Mark just started with the village last month and is already making an impact. Way to go, Mark!

Additionally, thank you to the sponsors of the It’s Thursday concert series. This summer of music was the best one yet at the bandshell, and next year will only be better! For the sake of space, I’ll highlight our It’s Thursday sponsors individually next week.
Also, last night, we saw the introduction of the new Antioch Queens! Congratulations to the newly crowned 2023-2024 Antioch Queens! Miss Antioch – Laila Salata, Jr. Miss Antioch – Zoe Babin, and Little Miss Antioch – Autumn Misch.
This Sunday our final Food Truck FEASTival of the summer on Toft Avenue. Bring the family and enjoy music, food, and a bouncy house from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. We have ten food trucks lined up to participate! Plus, while you’re downtown Sunday, make sure to visit some of our outstanding Antioch shops and restaurants.
This Sunday, the Antioch Traveling Closet, NFP will host their Back-to-School giveaway. They’ll have clothing, shoes, cleaning supplies, toiletries, and school supplies, on a first-come, first-served basis. This is a great event for our neighbors who are in need. The Antioch Traveling Closet founder and Antioch resident Lisa Fisher does a great job with her organization! Thank you, Lisa! More information: http://antiochtravelingcloset.org
