I’m excited about this weekend’s Laster Light Concert at the Tim Osmond Sports Complex. Do you have your tickets? Like most of you, I received my blue assessment notice letter from the Lake County Assessor’s Office. These letters are sent annually to let property owners know about changes in the assessment of their property. I have been working with our village’s Finance Director to put together some Q&A’s of common questions/misperceptions related to local taxes and property tax bills. I expect to have something put together early next week.

Road Closure: As part of the redevelopment project of the village-owned property at Main and Orchard, starting this coming Monday, September 11, 2023, Orchard Street will be blocked between Main Street (Route 83) and Skidmore Drive. The closure is scheduled to be in place for five days. And speaking of the redevelopment project, it’s been great to see how much work is now going on at the site!

Parents, registration is now underway for Antioch Parks Department Fall Sports Classes for kids ages 2 to 13. All classes start next week, so make sure to sign up today if you’re interested! If not enough children are enrolled, it may lead to the cancellation of classes.
