Construction of our new downtown park is moving forward very quickly! I had a chance recently to walk the worksite of the project and I was amazed at how nicely things are coming along. The village’s communications team put together a short video to show off some of the progress. We recorded it about two weeks ago (on a very windy day) – check it out here: https://fb.watch/qQhhK33ysN/
We’re only a couple of weeks away from the Village’s family-friendly Easter events! Have you voted yet for Antioch Pizza? This week, WGN-AM announced the brackets for their Chicago Pizza Madness Tournament. I’m excited to see Antioch’s very own Antioch Pizza is one of the 64 pizza restaurants participating in the competition. If you have a chance, cast your vote to support Antioch Pizza! The first-round voting ends on Monday, March 18th. For more information and to cast your vote, visit: https://trib.al/AkIxiP
Later next month, The Penny’s Purpose is hosting its Fourth Annual Fundraiser and Silent Auction. The fundraiser will be at The Lodge of Antioch on Saturday, April 20th. They’re also looking for donations for their silent auction. If you’re interested in making a donation, email fundraising2024@thepennyspurpose.org. I hope to see you around town! I encourage everyone to shop local this weekend. Did you know that the first few months of the year can be some of the slowest months for local businesses? This is a great time to be out supporting the local business owners who make our community great! Shop, dine, and enjoy – in Antioch!
