Happy Friday, Antioch!
Yesterday’s snowfall went as quickly as it came, but the holiday season has just begun. I love strolling down Main Street this time of year to take in the sights and sounds of the holidays in Antioch. With so many pop-up events, meet-and-greets, and open houses happening downtown, one thing is for sure – Antioch’s retail boutiques, service providers, and restaurants are rolling out the red carpet and are ready to serve this holiday season!
I’m happy to share that the Antioch Parks and Recreation Department has partnered with Impressions Count in Antioch to offer Sweatshirts and Hoodies for sale celebrating our North Pole Train program this year. Orders provide the option of picking up at Impressions Count on Main Street or by shipping. Just click on the type of shirt you’d like, create an account, and order a great keepsake of a cherished holiday memory! Get your North Pole Express hoodie today: https://schools.impcount.com/
Today, I helped welcome a new business to town. Consumed Cannabis (453 Main St.) actually began operating out of a temporary 600 square-foot “shipping container” location last October. Now, their newly finished 5,000 square-foot facility features a variety of products and offers everyday discounts for seniors and veterans. Check them out at www.consumecannabis.com.
If you’re looking for something fun to do with the kids over the Thanksgiving break, sign up for the Antioch Chamber of Commerce’s Grinch vs. Santa Breakfast on Nov. 30 at the Antioch VFW (75 North Ave.). Help Santa battle the Grinch to save Christmas during this special breakfast event. Kids will enjoy a Dr. Seuss themed meal while watching the Grinch movie and doing crafts. Sign up today at www.antiochchamber.org.
Have a great weekend!
